DESCRIPTION:
The Model CCD8000 scanner is designed for Office or Point of Sale use. There are two standard interfaces, Keyboard Wedge and USB. The Keyboard wedge unit connects between the keyboard and the computer of a PC or Mac. Barcode data read by the scanner appears as though it were typed on the keyboard. The USB Model connects to a USB port on newer PCs and laptop computers. It also sends data as though it were typed on the keyboard.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:
The Keyboard Wedge and USB Models are normally used to add a barcode "front end" to existing applications. If these applications normally accept input from the keyboard, this scanner enables use of barcodes without any software modification. Data from the scanned barcodes appears as though it was entered on the keyboard. The keyboard wedge version has two models, one for a PC, the other for Apple Macontosh computers. The USB Model can be used on either PCs or MACs.
